CINNAMON RAISIN OATMEAL

Some of you have got to like raisins, right? I wish I had a fabulous picture but this is my favorite post-run breakfast.

1 3/4 cups water
1 1/4 old fashioned oatmeal (quick 1-minute oats)
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins

Bring water to a boil and then just stir in the rest of the ingredients. (You may have to add a few more oats depending on how thick you like it. ) Drizzle with honey if desired and serve. My kids love it!

For you raisin-haters out there add these to the oatmeal instead:

1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 smashed banana
1/2 cup walnuts

I'm sure you use that steel-cut oatmeal Oprah is always talking about but it would just take longer to cook.
