QUICK Dinner & Kid-Friendly

(Submitted by Berta)

Made these last night for a quick dinner . . .
Here are the ingredients. Last night we used lean hamburger instead of Canadian bacon. You can use pepperoni too.

This is a 'kid-friendly' recipe - they LOVE to help . . .

Generously spray your cookie sheet with PAM.
Use the bottom of a small cup (or fingers) to spread the dough into a small pizza shape.
Spoon a generous amount of sauce onto dough, top with your choice of meat.
If you use hamburger, after browning add some pizza sauce or tomato sauce to meat so it's not too dry.

Add cheese to the top. Use any cheese you you have on hand. We used the 'Mexican-style' & mozzarella cheese - that's all I had on hand. If you like you can use olives or any other garnish . . .

Top off with a salad, some fresh fruit and "that's" a quick meal . . .

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10-15 minutes (depending on your oven) or until the biscuits are browned - check them OFTEN! After 10 minutes if they are not cooking well, turn over to 375 degrees to brown BUT, watch them close so they don't burn.

Serve with a bowl of soup on a cold winter day to really 'fill em' up'!

My mom made these for me when I was a kid, I made them for my 'continuously hungry crew' and now I 'pass them on' to you! ! ! ENJOY!

That's funny. My grandma used to make these, but instead of biscuits they were english muffins...pizza burgers they were called. She would stock pile a whole freezer full of them for her teenagers. They are an integral part of our family history!!

I was thinking the same thing as you, Rachel. My mom made them all the time too. They were on the school lunch menu where Grandma worked in the kitchen for a while.

The best part about this post is the "artsy fartsy" food photos Roberta! I love them! You are quite handy with your camera!
Looks good, we better try them!
